About Our Institution

Founded in 1999 as the Center for Biblical Studies (CBS) in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, our institution opened its doors in Bamenda, Cameroon in September 1999. Over the years, we have evolved to meet the growing needs of our student body and the communities we serve. In 2019, we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a major restructuring, transforming from CBS to IST and expanding our programs to include Master’s degrees.

Our Mission and Vision

The International School of Theology (IST) Bamenda is dedicated to nurturing spiritual leaders equipped with profound theological knowledge and practical ministry skills. Our mission is to obey the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as outlined in Matthew 28:18-20. We aim to train men and women for ministry and mastery with the Word of God, preparing church workers and leaders to strengthen churches across West and Central Africa, and the entire world
